SIREN ONLINE FLORAL CLASSES- LIVE COURSE RECAP

Over the last few months, I’ve been so grateful to get to teach flowers in my online classroom. We’ve had students attend class (through Zoom) from all over the country, and it’s been so beautiful to get to still feel connected to the flower community while we are all getting through these wild times.

I wanted to share a few favorite images below of some of the work we’ve been creating together in class, and share a bit more about how the classes work! (all gorgeous imagery by my talented friend Dani Toscano)

All of our LIVE courses involve floral product too, shipped directly to the student’s door. Once signed up, student’s have access to a shopping list of Materials they’ll need for class time (such as clippers, bowl tape, a floral frog, etc.). They collect those goodies on their own so they are prepped and ready to go for class! We then collect all student information to make sure their box of blooms gets to them safe and sound :)

Then, a week or so ahead of class time, we touch base to confirm course times, share an inspiration board for the color palette and check in on other details to make sure everyone is on the same page / answer any questions that may come up.

Student’s will also have access to a Community Dashboard specific to their course week. Here they can engage with each other, ask more questions, share images of their work, resources, etc. Student’s have even continued to engage with it after their course week’s ended, sending questions my way here and there, which I’m always happy to answer!

Finally, once we’ve all received + processed our floral product, we get to create :) We meet on Zoom (LIVE) usually for about 2-2.5 hours per class, where we build the various designs together and engage for feedback, questions and so on. After each class, the favorite part of my day/the experience as the teacher is to look through all of the beautiful student work! It fills me up so much to see and support all of your creations, and I continue to be totally blown away by everyone!

Following the end of class week, all students have access to the course content for as long as they want. They can revisit their course week / the dashboard, etc. as many times as they need to. Each course also includes companion E-booklets, which they can revisit as often as they’d like as well.
